摘要：In this talk, I will analyse the (perfect) indiscriminability relation between the states of a physical system. The talk is divided into three parts. In the first part, I will invoke some intuitive or empirical hypotheses which hint that this relation satisfies four conditions in physics and one additional condition in quantum physics. I will also discuss how a binary relation satisfying these conditions can qualitatively model a physical system. In the second part, I will introduce quantum theory, and argue, using a mathematical theorem, that the essentials in quantum theory of the indiscriminability relation are captured by the five conditions. The work is about the mathematical foundations of quantum theory. In the final part of this talk, I will briefly discuss the basic question, the research paradigm and the significance of such researches.
