Abstract: Platonism is the view that mathematical objects have a real existence and are discovered rather than invented by human mathematicians. There are also extreme and weaker versions of Platonism according to different philosophical views. In this presentation, I will share and explore the different views on mathematical realism presented by Martin Davis in "Pragmatic Platonism" and Hilary Putnam in "On Davis's 'Pragmatic Platonism'".
