Abstract: One of the current major threads in modern model theory involves studying so-called Keisler measures, or regular Borel probability measures on the space of types associated to a first order structure. This area has many rich structure theorems and has lead to interesting connections between model theory, dynamics, and combinatorics. We will introduce these objects, give some examples and discuss some of the recent results in this area.
