Abstract: In this talk, I will first propose a way of understanding collective belief. It takes the effect of social network into account. I will then formalize it by adapting the DeGroot model and study the logic of the proposed notion of collective belief. If time permitted, I will also talk about our ongoing work on the issue of the wisdom of crowds.
